Gym Floors - Hardwood

The design and construction of a hardwood gym floor is a science. Baseman Bros. Inc. is a proud Robbins Sports Surfaces dealer. We offer their full line of athletic flooring systems.  No one puts more effort into advancing the technology under the floors than Robbins. Our floors outperform the competition when measured for vibration, deflection, and ball bounce.

Hardwood

Floating

A floating gym floor is comprised of 3 elements. The maple, the rigid subfloor panels, and a shock absorption pad. Different combinations of subfloor panels and shock pad provide you with varying levels of resiliency and stability. These floors are economical, but can be susceptible to large humidity swings and can also have inconsistent ball bounce.

Resilient Anchored

These flooring systems are anchored to the concrete. The design helps prevent vertical deflection providing consistent ball bounce throughout the floor. Modern resilient anchored floors allow for minimal lateral movement as the floor expands and contracts as it experiences seasonal environmental changes. This helps the gym maintain uniformity year round. They also help limit vibrations which are linked to athlete soft tissue and tendon injuries.
